Eiko Kawashima or known as Anri is a Japanese singer-songwriter from Yamato, Japan. She set sail her career in music in 1978, with the single “Oribia O Kikinagara” with the help of Amii Ozaki.

One of her hits is “Cat’s Eye” which stand no. 1 in several music charts in Japan. “Kanashimi ga Tomoranai” is also one of her critically acclaimed song, in which both of them appeared in one of her best album, “Timely”. The word ‘summer’ may be one of her favorite word after all, “Remember Summer Days”, “Windy Summer”, and “Moonlit Summer Tales” is some of many of her works with the word ‘summer’ in the title, making fans believe she really had a thing with ‘summer’ 🌞

With the renewed popularity of City Pop genre, her songs been sampled by many Vapor-wave and Future Funk artists nowadays. Nowadays, Anri still actively making music, the 2018 “ANRI” would be her latest full length albums in her discography.
