The incredibly prolific Haruomi Hosono is considered to be the one of the most influential musicians of modern Japanese pop music history.

With an encyclopedic knowledge of music and a boundless curiosity for new sounds, Hosono has left an unmistakable imprint on hundreds of recordings as session player, producer and creator of his own musical universe. 

Hosono's solo career took many twists and turns, from exotica, electronic, ambient into techno,  culminating in the big success of Yellow Magic Orchestera ( YMO). He also contributed to the development and pioneering of numerous electronic genres.
